We are well into the Autumn season and the Certified Farmer’s Market in Old Town La Quinta has gotten the season off to a great start with a wide array of superb vendors and plenty of new live music entertainers and exciting surprises. Running from October through May and keeping the season filled with farm to table produce and plenty more, the Certified Farmer’s market is one of the favorite weekly meeting places for friends and neighbors in and around La Quinta.
Arguably, the La Quinta Certified Farmer’s Market is a foodie paradise featuring state-of-the-art cooking tools, gourmet food options, and one-of-a-kind items to help you whip up those holiday meals and treats.
Malibu Olive Oil is always on hand with a simply unbelievable array of flavored and seasoned oils. Fresh herbs, gourmet cheese, artisan bread, and local dates are all available every Sunday. Many of us enjoy the handmade soaps, sunscreens and lotions, and of course beauty products as well, all made from the purest organic materials. There are so many different items available that it is hard to name all of them, fashionable clothing, comfortable walking shoes and walking sticks, colorful exotic scarves and hats of every description are always on display to the delight of Valley shoppers.
For those of us who simply must have a sampling of delicious hot food expect Mediterranean options, fresh tamales and tacos, delicious grilled tri-tip, homemade lemonade and freshly brewed coffee to name only a few. You can also pick up fresh flower bouquets, exotic orchids and full, lush plants for your home and garden. Open air markets are one of the best parts of living in this beautiful desert, especially during season when we have an abundance of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Go out and make it a great week and I hope to see you at the La Quinta Farmers Market soon!
